NeoCide® Tris (Hydroxymethyl) Aminomethane For IVD

Tris is a very important biological buffer, commonly used as a combo with hydroxymethyl aminomethane, keeping pH at 7.0-9.1 stably. It is sensitive to temperature and concentration. The pH value of Tris based aqueous solution is about 10.5. Hydrochloric acid is usually added to adjust the pH value to the desired value. EDTA is usually added to Tris hydrochloric acid buffer to make "TE buffer".


TE buffer was used for DNA stabilization and storage. When the acid solution adjusting the pH value is replaced by acetic acid, the "TAE buffer" is obtained(Tris / acetate / EDTA), while the acid solution adjusting the pH value is replaced by byboric acid, the "TBE buffer" is obtained(Tris / borate / EDTA).
