Schematic line motif for this product family. Illustrative diagram, not experimental data.

A triple fusion of the 16 kDa antigen, the 38 kDa antigen and ESAT-6. Combining several TB antigens in one polypeptide is a common way to broaden coverage in immunogen preparation and antibody screening, while keeping a single reagent to track and document. As with all our antigens, the manufacturer's specification sheet is published in full and the lot CoA travels with every batch.

CategoryRecombinant antigen / IVD raw material
Species / originMycobacterium tuberculosis, recombinant (E. coli expressed)
Aliases16 kDa · 38 kDa · ESAT-6 combined antigen
Molecular weightTriple fusion; ESAT-6 component ~6 kDa
ApplicationImmunogen preparation, antibody panel screening, TB assay development
FormatPurified protein solution in 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0; untagged
Purity>90% (manufacturer's published specification; the lot CoA governs)
EndotoxinNot stated on the manufacturer's specification; ask us if your application requires a figure
FormLiquid, frozen; ships frozen
Storage-20 °C, 3-year shelf life; avoid repeated freeze/thaw
Handling noteThe manufacturer states that all cultures have tested negative for HBsAg, HCV, HIV-1 and HIV-2, and that no test guarantees a product to be non-infectious — all material should be handled as potentially infectious

Manufacturer's use statementFor research only

Triple fusion covering all three antigens — a common immunogen format when an antibody panel against several TB targets is being raised from one reagent. Note the culture-screening statement: it is the manufacturer's own wording, reproduced rather than paraphrased.

Reference sequence information is given to help you choose a construct, not as a specification of the material shipped. Construct, tag, expression system and lot data are stated on the batch CoA — tell us if your assay is sensitive to any of these and we will confirm before you order.

One subject line each — send it as it opens and we will have what we need to answer. If you already hold a lot number, add it and we will locate its record.

Questions buyers ask about this item

Can this be supplied in a different format, grade or pack size?

The format, grade and pack size actually available are confirmed per item. If your assay depends on a specific tag, on carrier-free material, or on particular impurity limits, state it in your enquiry and we will confirm what is available before you commit — rather than after. For a buffer or preservative line, tag and expression-system fields do not apply.

What documentation accompanies this product?

A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis with every batch, and a commercial invoice and packing list with every shipment. HPLC / MS data, SDS/MSDS and a certificate of origin are available on request. See the documentation centre.

What are the lead time and minimum quantity?

Lead time and minimum order quantity depend on availability, grade and destination, and are stated on your quotation. Evaluation quantities are available for research groups qualifying a lot against an existing assay.

Can you reserve the same lot for my reorders?

Where stock allows, yes — a consistent lot avoids re-validation work. Ask us at the time of your first order and we will confirm availability rather than promising it later.

For research use and in-vitro diagnostic development only. Not for human or animal therapeutic use. Specifications are stated per lot on the accompanying CoA. Please note the boundary precisely: our sourcing serves research and assay development, and the manufacturer's own specification sheets state “for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures”. If your programme needs material released under a particular quality system or with a specific regulatory status, tell us before you order — we will confirm what the manufacturer can actually provide rather than assume it.

Not sure which grade to specify? Read the specification guide — purity, endotoxin, tag format and expression system all change what the material can be used for.
