ESAT-6 (6 kDa early secretory antigenic target) is the other half of the RD1 antigen pair. Like CFP-10 it is secreted by the ESX-1 system, absent from BCG strains, and central to interferon-gamma release assays for TB infection. Recombinant ESAT-6 with consistent lot documentation supports antigen-detection assay development, T-cell stimulation research and immunogen preparation.

Representative specification (manufacturer's published data)
Representative specification from the manufacturer's published specification sheet. The lot shipped to you is described by its own Certificate of Analysis. Shown so you can judge fit before you enquire — these are the manufacturer's published figures for the catalogue items we source, not a substitute for the Certificate of Analysis of the lot you receive. The full set for every item we publish is on published specifications.

The manufacturer's specification sheet for this item prints catalogue number L1H01302 in its catalogue field — a typographical slip; L1H01301 is the number under which the manufacturer's own product listing carries this item. ESAT-6 pairs with CFP-10 as the two RD1 antigens at the centre of TB-specific immunoassays.

Questions buyers ask about this item
Can this be supplied in a different format, grade or pack size?
The format, grade and pack size actually available are confirmed per item. If your assay depends on a specific tag, on carrier-free material, or on particular impurity limits, state it in your enquiry and we will confirm what is available before you commit — rather than after. For a buffer or preservative line, tag and expression-system fields do not apply.
What documentation accompanies this product?
A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis with every batch, and a commercial invoice and packing list with every shipment. HPLC / MS data, SDS/MSDS and a certificate of origin are available on request. See the documentation centre.
What are the lead time and minimum quantity?
Lead time and minimum order quantity depend on availability, grade and destination, and are stated on your quotation. Evaluation quantities are available for research groups qualifying a lot against an existing assay.
Can you reserve the same lot for my reorders?
Where stock allows, yes — a consistent lot avoids re-validation work. Ask us at the time of your first order and we will confirm availability rather than promising it later.
For research use and in-vitro diagnostic development only. Not for human or animal therapeutic use. Specifications are stated per lot on the accompanying CoA. Please note the boundary precisely: our sourcing serves research and assay development, and the manufacturer's own specification sheets state “for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures”. If your programme needs material released under a particular quality system or with a specific regulatory status, tell us before you order — we will confirm what the manufacturer can actually provide rather than assume it.
Not sure which grade to specify? Read the specification guide — purity, endotoxin, tag format and expression system all change what the material can be used for.
