Human-derived material
This product is purified from human serum, not expressed recombinantly. Donor screening and infectious-agent testing are carried out by the manufacturer under their own procedures; the specific tests applied are stated on the manufacturer's documentation for the lot, and we do not restate them as our own claim. Because no test method can give complete assurance that infectious agents are absent, the material must be handled as potentially hazardous and used for research and IVD development only. Ask us for the manufacturer's donor-screening statement before ordering, and if your institution requires a particular screening panel, tell us at the first enquiry.
D-dimer is a fibrin degradation product and the standard analyte for assessing coagulation and thrombosis, which is why it is normally run alongside cardiac markers rather than on its own. Unlike our recombinant cardiac proteins, this antigen is purified from human serum, so its specifications, concentration and handling differ – purity and lot details are stated on each batch CoA. It supports calibrator and control preparation across ELISA, immunoturbidimetric and lateral-flow platforms.

Representative specification (manufacturer's published data)
Representative specification from the manufacturer's published specification sheet. The lot shipped to you is described by its own Certificate of Analysis. Shown so you can judge fit before you enquire — these are the manufacturer's published figures for the catalogue items we source, not a substitute for the Certificate of Analysis of the lot you receive. The full set for every item we publish is on published specifications.
Native antigen
Published specification for this item. The lot shipped to you is described by its own Certificate of Analysis, which travels with every shipment.
| Product | Purified native human D-dimer antigen |
|---|---|
| Source | Human serum |
| Purification | Affinity purified |
| Concentration | 10 mg/ml |
| Buffer | PBS, pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl |
| Preservative | None |
| Stated applications | Standard in immunoassay; immunogen for antisera production; tracer for iodination |
| Storage & shelf life | -20 °C for 3 years; avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles |
| Manufacturer's use statement | For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. |
D-dimer is supplied as affinity-purified native antigen from human serum, not as a recombinant protein — which is why its source, concentration and handling differ from the rest of this panel.
Matched polyclonal antibodies
Published specification for this item. The lot shipped to you is described by its own Certificate of Analysis, which travels with every shipment.
| Product | Goat anti-human D-dimer polyclonal antibody |
|---|---|
| Host / isotype | Goat, IgG |
| Source | Serum |
| Immunogen | Human D-dimer antigen |
| Format | Purified, liquid |
| Purity | >90% (SDS-PAGE) |

| Buffer | PBS, pH 7.4 |
| Preservative | None |
| Stated applications | ELISA and Western blot; working titre to be determined by the user |
| Storage | -20 °C |
Goat polyclonal raised against the same antigen, for ELISA and Western blot formats where a broad epitope repertoire is useful.
Alternative host species
Published specification for this item. The lot shipped to you is described by its own Certificate of Analysis, which travels with every shipment.
| Product | Rabbit anti-human D-dimer polyclonal antibody |
|---|---|
| Host / isotype | Rabbit, IgG |

| Buffer | PBS, pH 7.4 |
| Preservative | None |
| Stated applications | ELISA and Western blot; working titre to be determined by the user |
| Storage | -20 °C |
A rabbit polyclonal against the same antigen. Two host species for one antigen gives you the option of a sandwich format without needing to conjugate both reagents.
Reference sequence & construct notes
| Reference (UniProt) | — |
|---|---|
| Commonly used construct | Not sequence-defined: a cross-linked fibrin degradation product isolated from human serum |
| Molecular weight | ~180–200 kDa |
| Purity methods | SDS-PAGE and HPLC / SEC-HPLC, reported per lot |
| Form & storage | Liquid, frozen; -20 °C or below; ships on dry ice; see the CoA for the lot |
Reference sequence information is given to help you choose a construct, not as a specification of the material shipped. Construct, tag, expression system and lot data are stated on the batch CoA — tell us if your assay is sensitive to any of these and we will confirm before you order.

Questions buyers ask about this item
Can this be supplied in a different format, grade or pack size?
The format, grade and pack size actually available are confirmed per item. If your assay depends on a specific tag, on carrier-free material, or on particular impurity limits, state it in your enquiry and we will confirm what is available before you commit — rather than after. For a buffer or preservative line, tag and expression-system fields do not apply.
What documentation accompanies this product?
A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis with every batch, and a commercial invoice and packing list with every shipment. HPLC / MS data, SDS/MSDS and a certificate of origin are available on request. See the documentation centre.
What are the lead time and minimum quantity?
Lead time and minimum order quantity depend on availability, grade and destination, and are stated on your quotation. Evaluation quantities are available for research groups qualifying a lot against an existing assay.
Can you reserve the same lot for my reorders?
Where stock allows, yes — a consistent lot avoids re-validation work. Ask us at the time of your first order and we will confirm availability rather than promising it later.
For research use and in-vitro diagnostic development only. Not for human or animal therapeutic use. Specifications are stated per lot on the accompanying CoA. Please note the boundary precisely: our sourcing serves research and assay development, and the manufacturer's own specification sheets state “for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures”. If your programme needs material released under a particular quality system or with a specific regulatory status, tell us before you order — we will confirm what the manufacturer can actually provide rather than assume it.
Not sure which grade to specify? Read the specification guide — purity, endotoxin, tag format and expression system all change what the material can be used for.
